So far as we know, we humans have always been exposed to more information than we can handle.
If you're out in the woods, you're bombarded with millions of bits of data, but ...
If a bear jumps out of nowhere your focus isn't on counting the number of dew drops on every pine needle.
As a matter of survival, we're programmed to focus only on the little bit of data that matters to us.
The problem today is that we also have thousands of voices calling out for our attention saying ...
"Pick me! I'm important!"
... and most of them are largely self-serving, of course.
So, I can either ...
- tell you right now secure in the knowledge that you'll probably forget
... or ...
- play with your mind over the next few days to make sure it sinks in
I'm going with the latter.
Will you indulge me?
If so, please type "I'm in!" in the comments.
Everyone who does this will get Part 2.
